about

Inspired by some text in the Lao Zi work, Dao De Jing, the music follows the path of people finding they can work well without rulers. The original of 2006 was for a quartet of horns in 7-limit just intonation. This revision of 2021 has some additional multi-tracking in the end section and omits one section. Each horn part is in a different key though the composite chord is harmonics 2, 3, 5, 9. Printed music is available at www.australiancomposers.com.au
